Good news
Working about around the 389 ds Console for the fantastic OpenLDAP ds-389 free solution initiated by Fedora I realised what excruciating pain was to export the X windows to run the console. And that I did really need that so my colleagues could also work with it I managed to create my own version for MacOSX, indispensable on my business.
My server got the following:
389-console-1.1.7-1.el6.noarch
389-admin-1.1.35-1.el6.x86_64
389-adminutil-1.1.19-1.el6.x86_64
389-ds-base-libs-1.2.11.15-32.el6_5.x86_64
389-ds-base-1.2.11.15-32.el6_5.x86_64
389-admin-console-1.1.8-1.el6.noarch
389-dsgw-1.1.11-1.el6.x86_64
389-ds-console-1.2.6-1.el6.noarch
389-ds-1.2.2-1.el6.noarch
So taking account those version, the attached link/URL should get your issues sorted.
Installing instruction, at the simplest:
1.- bunzip and untar the file
2.- Drop the Content on your /Application directory (and hope for the best!!!)
I got Mavericks installed in my system, but it should work on previous version of MacOsX.
Download Link:
389-console_mac.tar.bz2
Hopefully this will helps a bit with those who would like a Mac version for the client!!
